NCA Presidency Election In 2001

Ladies and Gentlemen, the primary objectives of Nasir Community Association (NCA) are to bring peace to our people, and to create a better future for our children. We need to build a solid peace with in the NCA members, Nuer and beyond because peace is the only thing that we are still thirsting for; and within the absence of peace in our Community, we will not be able to succeed in our dreams. As we are now dreaming that one day, we will build huge thing such as a hospital or a school in our own precious-land, Nasir. So, we are disparately needed a true peace in our hearts if we are badly wanted to achieve these dreams. Ladies and Gentlemen, when I become Nasirian President, I will work firmly to accomplish all the necessarily changes that we are needed today in our community to succeed.

1. Community Policy:
   To preserve peace of our fellow citizens, promote their prosperity and happiness, reunite opinion, cultivate a spirit of sincerity, compassion and tolerance toward one and another will be the main objectives in my leadership policy. In fact, we must have a freedom of speech, but when you are welcomed to talk during meetings, you might need to respect feelings of others. In another words, any Nasirian Citizen has a right to talk in a way she/he thinks is right, but the words of violence or any use of physical force is totally unacceptable.
   
   
2. As The NCA President:

   1. I will work more effectively to save our money from any sort of corruption that may waste such a tremendous effort contributed by committed Nasirian people in order to build their future.
   2. I will not accept any illegal actions neither from NCA executives nor members that may mishandle NCA money.
   3. I will fight hard to procure all the legal documents that we wanted to guaranty safety of our money.
   4. I will encourage all Nasirian Elders to use their expertise building our future society.
      
3. We will honor and respect the NCA spiritual leaders.
   
4. I will work more closely with the NCA State Representatives because they are the backbone leaders in this community, and I will assign the following tasks under their respective leaderships:
   

   1. To collect NCA annual dues on time.
   2. To register all members in each State, and their names to NCA Executive Office.
   3. To report all cases that had assisted during the year including the names of people who did that contribution. This report will always due on November the 1st each year.
   4. To collect NCA Administrative fee ($20) on time, and the contributors list will send to NCA Executive Office
5. Education For NCA children:
   
   Education system among our young children is one of the best objectives in our community. We the parents must have to encourage our young children to stay in their schools to learn. We have to show them that they are the best part in this NCA community because they are the future and hope of our society. If any one of these NCA Children has graduated with a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher that student will receive an award of honor in the front of all NCA people during the Conferences.

Administrative Policy:

1. State Counseling Committee that consist five members will be appointed in order to solve their State Problems.
2. There must be one executive meeting plus General Conference per year.
3. NCA Offices must be opened worldwide. Any place that Nasirian people are living must have a NCA Office.
4. I will keep in touch with other Nuer Communities; for instant, Gaat-Gaan-Kir unity will be preserved.
5. As we are continuously living in the United States, we may need to fix the wedding dowry that we usually pay for marriage according to our culture.
6. NCA Birth Day must be celebrated every year.

Business:
As the NCA President, I will start Nasir Business Project very soon. But the fact is this, when we verbalized the term of business it is not simple because it needs a big commitment, and it also needs creative people with positive plans based in reality. Therefore, I will respectively ask your opinions as the group or individuals to contribute plans that will enhance our business project. To make the history short, I will send a topic of discussion to all NCA Local Chapters to brainstorm how NCA Business Project will look like after that the NCA Executives a long with the Board of Directors will take another actions to consult business experts, and then the NCA business has to be started.
