The NCA annual conference of 2005 was opened by Rev Moses Doyak Biliow with words of prayer. Whereas, the NCA General Assemblies shown the respect to their leaders, which led the meeting to last only six hours. Although the entire NCA demoralized by emergency contributions/incidents due to the tragedies that happened this year, the annual contribution or year budget fell below $10, 000.00 Secondly, NCA members are working very hard to achieve the lasting peace to eliminate the evil spirit, which complicated the solution toward reunification. Therefore, the conference was dominated by peace discussion.

The conference was well organized by NCA leaders: Meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman Gatwech Puoch Yat, timed by General Sec Simon Wal Bumetet, instructed by Chairman of board Daniel Reath Kier and Executive Director, Tut Makuach Luot. Yearly Budget recorded by Treasurer, Duoth Jock Deng and reported by Board treasurer, Peter Jingmir Yat to the general assembly.

The overall total is $33, 806.87.  We are not yet received some States budget; we will add them later when we received their reports. We will posted the yearly expenses/emergency contributions later on website and you will surprise because the total amount of the year 2005 is over $30, 000.00.

2) Peace Negotiation:

A. peace discussion: The Chairman of NCA based on Nebraska, Tut Makuach Luot brief the general Assembly about NCA Peace Agreement signed by two parties on June 11, 2005. Mr. Luot gave chance to general Assembly over Peace process. The discussion took about four hours long thereby Manhial Timothy Tutlam redirected the audience views to NCA goal, emphasizing the mission up on which NCA was formed in1996.  Mrs. Tutlam said that we must succeed in reunification of “Nasir family”   She also added that our solidarity here in North America will not only lead us to help our people back-home, but also will strengthen Nasir in all respects.

Thank Rev John Keak Nguth for nicest words you expressed on behalf of NCA reunification. After all, the NCA General Assembly of Nebraska confirmed the peace and passed the overall peace Agreement signed in June 11, 2005. Ladies and gentlemen, the NCA Peace Agreement signed recently on Jun 11, 2005 by two parties’ administrations is now passed by NCA of Nebraska.

B. Nomination of three delegates:

Mr. Tut Makuach took a lead from Vice Chairman during nomination of three delegates. He appointed three NCA members among general Assembly to select the delegates. As the result, the following Peace delegates were nominated by general Assembly as it was implemented by Chairman Mr. Makuach Luot. Their names are  as following:

·        Peter Lam Thoat Muang

·        Wal Makuach Tiap

·        Simon Tongyik Nguthdell

Gai Gatkuoth Kur encouraged the NCA members to strike on NCA development instead of discussing personalities every annual conference those will not take us anywhere. Mr. NCA former Chairman Peter K. Koang Gave strong speeches those strengthen the whole community.

The conference ended peacefully and closed by Lay Pastor, Chuol Gatriey Yat. The NCA administration imposed the membership requirement on its members.  That why the meeting took only six hours because only NCA active members have privilege to participate on overall activities. We anticipate all NCA members fulfill the membership requirements due to the fact that only active members will have chance to enter into the NCA Reunification convention in Nov, 2005. They will have chance to talk, vote, elect, or to be elected. And thank very much for wonderful conference we attended.

Sincerely yrs

Simon Wal Bumetet:

The general secretary of NCA
