Dear Fellow Compatriots in the State of Nebraska

The SPLM chapter in the Great State of Nebraska will be hosting a fund-raising party on Saturday October 9th, 2010, 2010 in Omaha. The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the highly anticipated referendum on self-determination for the people of Southern Sudan as well as popular consultations in Nuba Mountains, Southern Blue Nile and Abye.

There has never been a more glorious time in the history of our struggle than Jan, 2011 and the reason for that is one of the biggest milestones in our journey to freedom and prosperity will have been achieved. This important milestone would culminate in an independent Southern Sudan followed by freedom in Nuba Mountains and southern Blue Nile.

As the countdown to Jan, 2011 begins, we need to do everything in power to carry out effective public relations campaign to educate our fellow Nebraskans about the importance of the event and why they must join us in order to make it a success.

Jan, 2011 referendum on self-determination for Southern Sudan is currently facing a lot of NCP imposed challenges meant to derail the process all together. Therefore, in order to avert these challenges, we must stand up and appeal to our local, State and federal officials to fully support the Government of Southern Sudan and the SPLM in this important endeavor.

To lobby our local, State and federal officials and educate fellow Nebraskans about the importance of the event requires financial resources which we don’t have at the moment. Therefore, the SPLM Chapter in the State of Nebraska through its chairperson, is calling upon all SPLM members, members of the Sudanese Community at large and friends of the Sudanese Communities in the State of Nebraska to come and show your financial support for Jan, 2011 referendum, on Saturday October 9th, 2010, 2010 in Omaha, NE.
