HISTORICAL CELEBRATION OF MAY 16, 1983.

 

Dear Fellow Compatriots in the State of Nebraska,

On behalf of the Nebraska SPLM Chapter, in the name of our fallen heroes and in the name of our historic movement, The SPLM/SPLA was founded on May 16, 1983 as a mass Political Movement dedicated to waging a relentless struggle against the injustice and oppression being meted out to the majority of the Sudanese people by successive minority regimes in Khartoum. As we are the seven fronts for the SPLM and the natural extension of this struggle, celebrating May 16 is very significance to our fallen heroes and likes as well. We want to inform you that the struggle continues and it should be waged by all means available on all fronts. Therefore, here in Nebraska, a good life State, we must celebrate this historical day of our time with spirit of unity and solidarity. In order to do this, we need your financial support from member contribution $20.00 U.S. dollars to enable our chapter celebrate this remarkable day of May 16.

We invite all SPLM State Chapter’s leaders with their members around Midwest to come to good life Nebraska and celebrate our historic party’s birthday to show our bravery and patriotic solidarity. With May 16 as our historic movement’s birthday, we manage to bring CPA to our beloved country, Sudan. For the first time in our country history, our people enjoy peace dividends at last. SPLM NE Chapter Staffs met on April 30, 2010 with teleconference from 6 – 7 PM, the Office was focused on membership registration because all documents including the machine we use for eliminated ID card were successfully handed over on April 17, 2010 at 4001 S. SHOW: The cultural show will be involved on May 16 Celebration, the SPLM NE Chapter Office is urging any member who has experience bases on outline below, we need to receive the name of veterans , youths, and cultural dancers from each tribe before three days to May 16 celebration:

  1. 10 Veterans matching while are on uniform and singing military song lead by Eliz Chol Lam, the best Sudanese musician in North America.
  2. 10 young boys and girls as a Elizabeth’s group singers.
  3. Cultural Show from 10 people from different tribe in South and North Sudan: Nubia, Anyuak, Shuluk, Murle, Nuer, Dinka, Maban, and so on,

MEMBERSHIP: The Office is informing all members who have not registered and those who hold a SPLM membership card which was already expired, and it's time for you to come to the Office to renewal your membership card. And here are the procedures below how to get SPLM membership card:

  1. Filling membership Form with fees $20.00 U.S
  2. Taking a picture and Receiving membership ID card righ away.
  3. Renewal a membership ID with fees $10.00 U.S.
  4. The members who have already filled membership form & paid their fees are ready to take a picture at any time she/he contact the photographer at 402-917-6932.
  5. The members who paid their fee for ID card and not receiving it from previous regime, you need to call us and to make an appointment to find your application form you already filled, if we find your file on the record we have, you will get your ID card with no fees.
