Incident in Nasir County

Date: July 31, 2009

The incident occurred last night in Nasir, five people lost their lives, and five people were wounded. The cause of incident, there were some groups organized themselves and went to Gaguang Area, and took the cattle without case. The group who took the cattle lives in Gum, the main village of Cie-Kol.

Nyalieth community show the democratic system to united themselves as a one body to solve the situation. The community met in Nasir last two weeks, and decided to select the most important leaders (white Army) from any sub clan to go and ask those groups who took the cattle from Guang Community to take them back to the owners without conflict. They did not want to negotiate to the leaders, when the leaders took action to take the cattle and start their journey to return, they were attacked on their way.

The Nyalith community lost lives, but they won the promise. They took the cattle back, and also those who are responsible have disappeared from the land of Nasir, and they lost their properties, which is a good signal for all of us to show the power of the unity, and also it will be a good lesson in a future to prevent some groups of people who need to organize themselves to take other people’s cattle again. 4. Tot Chol Kong Nyoap from Cie-maleak (Yoal)
5. The Woman (name not yet receive) from Cie-madhuoch ( Wang)
