Dear Nasirian Children
My fellow Nasirian citizens, I vowed to greet you as individuals and as the community at large. I believed that this boundless greeting will embrace all your hearts and shall bring peaceful joy and love to your families. I hardly posted messages on the Web because I felt comfortable to use telephone conversations when I wanted to talk with anyone of you. Today, however, I used Website to summon all Nasirian children who live in Diaspora to hear my voice and presume this burden task up on their shoulders for the sake of our people who are starved with hunger in our home land, Nasir. I had received independent reports from multiple sources that there is no any single area within Nasir Land that cultivated crops this year due to lack of rain. Ladies and Gentlemen, our parents are now fighting hunger and they are not able to make it because they could not cultivate their farms. Therefore, I send this appeal to all Nasiran children to help our parents who are living in our home land. I knew that we individually send money to our relatives, but there are families who their relatives did not come to the Western World; then, they have no mean to survive now.
The impediment of drought assorted by many wars in our country, which include North-South Sudan war, Akobo-Nasir War, and SPLM/A inter-factional wars had left many orphan children and widows without food in Nasir. Today, the situation of getting food is tough due to unmerciful drought and lack of peace in Nasir. Then, I am requesting any Nasirian, young-old, and woman-child who has mean to contribute in this matter that our time has arrived to assist our loving Nasirian citizens who are famished today in our home land. Hunger has no friends or relatives. what are we waiting for? What if our fathers, mothers, and children will die today just with hunger while we could have a mean to assist them? What would be our proud tomorrow? Why we don't act now rather than waiting for tomorrow? Please, please think about!
To be sincere with you, I am not talking on behave of NCA money that we already contributed; if we accept this proposal, we might pledge one time contribution across all Nasirian People who live in the United States of America, Canada, Australia, and in Europe. After we completed contribution, we would gather ourselves to discuss some save channels that may transport our contribution to the needy people. I may not mention any particular path now, but if you have anything in mind concerning this thought, please you are highly welcome to call me with my home phone listed at the end of this message. I have no other plans in this subject than helping our parents in Nasir. My sympathy to our people had simply compelled me to request you for help to assist them because I believed that our being in Western World would not benefit only our relatives, but Nasirian people in general; and it is our obligation to stand with them when they are in difficult situations such as hunger, war, diseases, and other natural/man-made disasters. Please, do not contribute only when we buried them, but when they are still alive.
Thank you so much,
Simon Gatkuoth Wakow.
